The Dedication of Jeongshim Won

On April 4, 2000, the dedication ceremony for Jeongshim Won (now Cheonshim Won) was held in the presence of True Parents. After offering the benediction and cutting the ribbon, True Parents entered the building and sanctified it with Holy Salt in the order of east, west, north, and south. At the dedication of Jeongshim Won, True Parents offered the following prayer:

“Together with this place and the realm of the Unification Church throughout the world, we pray that whenever those who devote themselves in attendance come here and offer their jeongseong before Heaven, Heaven’s grace and Heaven’s victorious authority may be transmitted to the entire world through all people. As a victorious sanctuary that can liberate all humankind and liberate the spirit world, we dedicate this house of prayer filled with jeongseong before You, Father. Please accept it. We offer and bless this in the name of the Parents.” (4 Apr 2000)

On May 29, 2010, True Mother visited Jeongshim Won and bestowed a crystal lamp, signifying that all members should become clear in body and mind like crystal and shine brightly.

Proclaiming the Four-Position Foundation at Jeongshim Won

On August 27, 2015, three days before the third anniversary of True Father’s Cheonju Seonghwa, True Mother stated that Hyo-jin nim’s portrait should be enshrined in Jeongshim Won. She explained that Hyo-jin nim and Heung-jin nim had become one as the restored eldest and second sons.

“Hyo-jin nim’s portrait should be enshrined in Jeongshim Won at the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center (now HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center). Hyo-jin nim and Heung-jin nim stand in the positions of the restored eldest son and second son, that is, Cain and Abel. Until now, Heung-jin nim has been the center of the spirit world, but now Hyo-jin, as the eldest son, stands in the position of attending the Parents. Place Hyo-jin nim’s portrait to the left of the portrait of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind in Jeongshim Won; place the portrait of Heung-jin Moon, Commander in Chief of the Spirit World, to its left, and the portrait of Daemo nim to the right of True Parents.” (Cheon Jeong Gung, 27 Aug 2015)

“I have proclaimed the four-position foundation of Jeongshim Won. Hyo-jin nim of the True Family is the eldest son. The eldest son and second son have become one.” (Cheon Jeong Gung, 30 Aug 2018)

On February 4, 2019, True Mother visited the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center and instructed that Hyo-jin nim’s and Heung-jin nim’s portraits in Jeongshim Won be dressed in royal robes embroidered with dragons. Two days later, on February 6, she came to Jeongshim Won and personally confirmed the portraits wearing the robes. In this way, she provided attire befitting their status as the eldest and second sons assisting True Father, who leads and directs the spirit world.

Later that year, on October 28, the Enshrinement Service for the Portraits of Hyo-jin Moon, Lord of Loyalty and Filial Piety Who Opens the Gate of Shimcheon (heart), and Heung-jin Moon, Commander in Chief of the Spirit World, was held at Jeongshim Won. Through this ceremony, Jeongshim Won came to embody the providential status of the True Family’s Four-Position Foundation.

On September 24, 2015, at Cheon Jeong Gung, True Mother declared, “The Cheongpyeong providence has been the history of True Parents,” and emphasized that members should offer prayer and jeongseong at the Cheongpyeong Heaven and Earth Training Center (now HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center) and Jeongshim Won (now Cheonshim Won), becoming one with True Mother, the Substantial Holy Spirit.

“Now, when you become one with True Parents, miracles will occur. If you invest yourself in prayer and jeongseong, your problems will be solved. This is possible because the spiritual base is already prepared. It is time for the spirit world to support us automatically.” (Cheon Jeong Gung, 24 Sep 2015)

Subsequently, on March 8, 2018, True Mother gave a special direction to eight leaders to offer vigils each night until 3:00 am Beginning that very night, under the leadership of President Gi-seong Lee, the Jeongshim Won 21-Day Vigil Devotion was launched. Rev. Lee proclaimed, “Although only eight people are offering this vigil devotion now, the day will come when 80, 800, and even 8,000 people will offer jeongseong.” With the determination to fulfill True Mother’s words, he devoted himself day and night. Regarding this, True Mother said:

“I instructed eight Korean leaders to offer special devotion for 21 days. I said that I must create the world that Heavenly Parent originally created and envisioned. When Heavenly Parent says, “It is finished. You are my beloved and glorious sons and daughters,” there can be no divisions or blemishes. You must stand completely aligned with True Parents. From that position, you must fulfill your responsibilities and become victorious people.” (Cheon Jeong Gung, 10 Apr 2018)

Afterward, True Mother organized some of the elder couples into devotion teams and instructed them to offer prayer every night beginning September 1, 2019 in the Cheonshim Won special prayer room.

After achieving victory in Vision 2020, True Mother proclaimed Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community on May 8, 2020. Emphasizing the need to offer earnest jeongseong in order to embrace the world through Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community, on June 1 at Hyojeong Yeon she instructed the leaders of Heavenly Korea to conduct night prayer vigils at Jeongshim Won under the leadership of President Gi-seong Lee.

“Offer even greater jeongseong for Father. Your jeongseong must reach Heaven so deeply that Father cannot help but move. You must enable him to lead the ancestors in the heavenly world and work through them. Offer your jeongseong as if at war, and carry out your activities as if at war.” (Hyojeong Yeon, 1 Jun 2020)

On June 8, 2020, True Mother again called President Gi-seong Lee and instructed him, saying, “You must command and mobilize the spirit world from Jeongshim Won. Through that, the problems on earth must be resolved.”

Following True Mother’s direction, a special jeongseong condition began on June 10. However, in compliance with the public health guidelines introduced due to the spread of COVID-19, a major challenge arose as large numbers of people could no longer gather in one place to offer vigil devotions. Yet this crisis became an opportunity, opening a new path for participation in jeongseong devotions through online platforms. Through online participation, the grace of Hyojeong testimonies and Resonance Prayer spread throughout the nation, resulting in the remarkable achievement of approximately 290,000 cumulative participants during 2020.

Launching Cheonshim Won as the World Jeongseong Headquarters

On September 4, 2020 the True Family’s Four-Position Foundation offered the Memorial Service Commemorating the 8th Anniversary of the Seonghwa of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, thereby revealing the providential stature of Jeongshim Won. On September 28, the Unveiling Ceremony of the Path of Heavenly Fortune, a pilgrimage path commemorating True Mother’s sacred course of heavenly victory, was held, followed by the Grand Dedication Ceremony of Cheonseung Jeon, down the hill from Cheon Jeong Gung. Through these events, the great victory of the True Mother—who, during the seven years following True Father’s Cheonju Seonghwa, accomplished the victorious course of heavenly providential history and proclaimed the settlement of Cheon Il Guk—would be commemorated forever. Finally, on October 1, during the Chuseok Liberation Ceremony for Heaven and Earth, True Mother resolved the deep sorrow within her heart and proclaimed the blessed words, “I have been liberated.”

Thus, on October 11, a historic day arrived that opened the era of the Cheonshim Won providence. At the Victory Celebration for the CheonBo Grand Festival Commemorating the 8th Anniversary of the Seonghwa of Sun Myung Moon, the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, held at Cheongshim Peace World Center, True Mother announced that Jeongshim Won would be renamed Cheonshim Won (天心苑, headquarters for the heart of Heaven) and bestowed upon it the mission of serving as the world headquarters for jeongseong. She further explained that Cheonshim Won would move forward as a place to cultivate future leaders who can resonate with the pure and untainted heart of Heaven. On that same day, True Mother appointed Rev. Gi-seong Lee, President of the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, to concurrently serve as the President of Cheonshim Won.

“In order to establish the tradition of the providence, I have put forward the third generation. While I remain on earth, I will create every environment necessary so that everything may flow smoothly like water. Therefore, as we move forward in developing Cheonshim Won into a place that cultivates future leaders who can resonate with Heaven’s pure and untainted shimjeong—pure water—I asked President Gi-seong Lee to take full responsibility. This will become one of the most important responsibilities for the future. For the realization of a unified world of One Family of Humankind under Heavenly Parent, we cannot allow any impure elements to enter. Those whose hearts are burdened and who desire to draw closer to Heavenly Parent, True Parents, and the True Children may go to Cheonshim Won and offer jeongseong there.” (Cheongshim Peace World Center, 11 Oct 2020)

Global Expansion of the Cheonshim Won Providence

In March 2021, as we reached the 200th Cheonshim Won vigil devotion, at the Victory Celebration for the 61st Anniversary of the Holy Wedding of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, held on May 10, 2021, True Mother bestowed the grace of establishing Cheonshim Won Prayer Rooms on every continent. Beginning from that day, Cheonshim Won Prayer Rooms were established in churches throughout Heavenly Korea, Heavenly Japan, and around the world. Then, on August 5, the day of the 300th vigil devotion, Rev. Lee bestowed the Cheonshim Hyojeong Bong (stick) upon staff members who had participated faithfully in all 300 vigils, encouraging them to inherit even greater spiritual power through prayer.

After the 480th vigil devotion, True Mother opened a special education workshop and Cheonshim Won Special Jeongseong for Cheon Il Guk Leaders from April 19 to 21, 2022. Through this program, the Cheon Il Guk leaders from around the world came to understand the Cheonshim Won providence and learned about advancing in spirit and truth by offering special jeongseong every night until 3:00 am Prior to this special workshop, at the special luncheon on April 17, True Mother emphasized the role of Cheonshim Won as follows:

“During these two days at Cheonshim Won, I ask that you resolve everything and become filial sons and daughters who completely liberate True Father.” (Cheongshim Peace World Center, 17 Apr 2022)

After achieving a great victory in the events commemorating the 62nd Anniversary of True Parents’ Holy Wedding and bequeathing the value of Cheonshim Won jeongseong to world leaders, True Mother appointed a branch president for Heavenly America (now Heavenly North America)on April 21, 2022. Then, on April 30, desiring to revive Heavenly America through the Cheonshim Won providence, she bestowed Cheonshim Won as Heaven’s greatest gift to Heavenly America. Blessing the Las Vegas Cheon Hwa Gung, with its legacy of True Parents’ jeongseong, as Heavenly America (now Heavenly North America) Cheonshim Won, she opened the way for a new beginning.

Fostering Future Talent and Spirituality Workshop

On the foundation of offering the 500th vigil devotion on May 21, 2022, the first Hyojeong Cheonshim Spirituality 40-Day Workshop was held from July 2 to August 1, 2022. This Spirituality 40-Day Workshop was established in accordance with True Mother’s words given on October 11, 2020, when she entrusted Cheonshim Won with the mission of cultivating future leaders. The purpose of this workshop is to raise future leaders of pure innocence, people who are pure white and pure gold who become one with True Parents’ shimjeong and are able to communicate directly with Heavenly Parent. Since then, increasing numbers of second- and third-generation members have participated, repenting of the past, becoming one with True Mother’s shimjeong, and experiencing rebirth.

“Cheonshim Won must cultivate leaders who can assume responsibility and become successors. In particular, it must cultivate leaders who can understand True Mother’s heart. It must become a protective fence for the three generations. Leaders who are not pure and who are not chaste must never come forward. Therefore, Cheonshim Won is a place that educates people through jeongseong so that every stain and blemish may be removed.” (Cheon Jeong Gung, 11 Oct 2020)

1,000th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion

As the new year of 2023 began under True Mother’s blessing, the 700th vigil devotion was held on February 16 at Cheonseong Wanglim Palace. More than 2,100 members from 53 churches in the Gyeonggi and Gangwon regions attended and experienced with tears the grace of the Substantial Holy Spirit. The following day, February 17, 1,200 members representing three generations from the Seoul and Incheon regions gathered for the 701st vigil devotion, inheriting the grace and flame of the Holy Spirit from the previous evening’s 700th gathering.

Regarding the importance of the Cheonshim Won providence, True Mother said:

“The Cheonshim Won providence is important. It is the root of our faith. It is the unshakable root of our faith. Each person must experience it personally.” (Hyojeong Yeon, 18 May 2023)

True Parents had already proclaimed on May 7, 2023, at the time of the Cheon Won Gung dedication ceremony, that a new beginning should be made to establish the foundation for restoration through witnessing. To ignite the fire of the Holy Spirit throughout Heavenly Korea through the grace of Cheonshim Won and raise the spiritual temperature of the nation, True Mother appointed Cheonshim Won Itinerant Missionaries. At the Heavenly Korea Leaders Hyojeong Special Workshop held at HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center from June 8 to 11, the Heavenly Korea Family Federation’s public leaders, including the Cheonshim Won Itinerant Missionaries, participated. They experienced the shimjeong of Heavenly Parent and True Parents, strengthened their foundation of jeongseong for mobilizing the spirit world, and pledged victory in witnessing. And since July 2023, the Cheonshim Won Itinerant Missionaries have been traveling all around Korea and visiting churches around the world, bringing revival through the winds of spirit and truth.

On November 10 of the same year, the 900th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion was held at Cheonseong Wanglim Palace. More than 30,000 people joined in offering a unified altar of jeongseong together. The following day, True Mother once again emphasized the importance of Cheonshim Won prayer. She earnestly instructed members to appeal to True Father in the spirit world so that he could actively cooperate with the providence on earth:

“From now on, the Unification Church must advance in spirit and truth. That is why I said that Cheonshim Won and FFWPU must move forward as one. The reason Cheonshim Won prayer is so important is that it enables Father, who is in the spirit world, to actively work within the environment that we must expand for Heavenly Parent. This is the long-cherished hope shared by True Father and all humanity. Therefore, you must earnestly appeal to Father from Cheonshim Won. You should pray with jeongseong, saying, “Father, today I am going to visit such and such a place. Please be with me. Please demonstrate Heaven’s authority and power.””

On March 22, 2024, the meaningful milestone of the 1,000th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion was finally reached. Approximately 60,000 people united in offering jeongseong. In a congratulatory message celebrating this victory, Sunhak Academic Foundation Chairwoman Yeon-ah Moon reflected on the days of offering jeongseong through the first 1,000 vigils and encouraged everyone to invest themselves even more deeply in becoming like True Parents and offering the fruits of victory. On May 18 of the same year, True Mother again emphasized the importance of Cheonshim Won:

“I have told you to advance in spirit and truth. That is why I established Cheonshim Won. You must be able to experience the spirit world. You must teach people why True Parents are necessary in this age. You must proclaim that only when True Parents stand at the center can a peaceful world without war, conflict, or religious strife—a single world, a world of One Family of Humankind—be realized.” (Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Munich, Germany, 18 May 2024)

The Entrance into the Cheonwon Gung Cheonil Sanctum

On August 23, 2024, the first day of the 2024 Hyojeong CheonBo Special Great Works Commemorating the 12th Anniversary of the Cheonju Seonghwa of Sun-myung Moon, True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, the 1,111th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion was held. More than 101,000 members from around the world participated together. Prior to this, True Mother had instructed the leaders of Heavenly Korea, Heavenly Japan, and Heavenly America—the central providential nations—to offer a special 40-day jeongseong condition in order to dispel all unrighteous spiritual influences. Upon the foundation of separating from Satan through this 40-day condition, this historic vigil devotion was offered.

Following the 1,111th Vigil Devotion, which established the foundation for the spirit world and the physical world to advance together toward the Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum, 40 additional vigil devotions were offered. Then, on October 18, the first day of the 2024 Autumn Hyojeong CheonBo Special Great Works, the 1,152nd Vigil Devotion was held at Cheongshim Peace World Center and online with the participation of approximately 90,000 members worldwide. This was the second Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion to be held at Cheongshim Peace World Center following the 2024 Summer Great Works, once again demonstrating the stature of True Parents and the remarkable works of Heaven.

On December 31, the Heavenly Parent’s Holy Community Family Federation for World Peace and Unification 2025 New Year Prayer Gathering (the 1,205th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion) was held at Cheongshim Peace World Center in the presence of True Parents to pray for victory in the Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum While over 100,000 members around the world participated through the live online broadcast. As True Mother entered the stage, the countdown to the New Year began. At midnight on January 1, 2025, the historic New Year’s Day, the grace of the prayer gathering reached its climax as True Mother bestowed the motto for Cheon Il Guk Year 13 (“In Cheon Il Guk year 13, when we attend the Creator Heavenly Parent substantially, let us, the blessed families around the world, become true sons and daughters of Cheon Il Guk who fulfill our responsibility as the chosen people in unity with True Parents.”) upon blessed families throughout the world.

From April 11 to 13, the 2025 Hyojeong CheonBo Special Great Works Commemorating the Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum was held at HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center and Cheon Won Gung, shining brilliantly as a great festival of hope for the Heavenly Unified World through the oneness of the spirit world and the physical world.

Finally, on April 13, the Cheonwon Gung Cheonil Sanctum Entrance Ceremony into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum was held, ushering in the era in which Heavenly Parent—whose coming has long been the cherished hope of the True Parents and of all humankind—directly governs this earth.

Vigil Devotion with the Four-Position Foundation of the True Family

Before the joy and overwhelming emotion of the victorious Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum (April 13, 2025) had subsided, the 1,300th Vigil Devotion was held on May 9, 2025, with approximately 70,000 members throughout the world participating.

Then, on September 23, beginning with the 1,397th Vigil Devotion, a new tradition of Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotions was inaugurated, centering on the True Family’s Four-Position Foundation, the Inheritors of Heaven’s Love and Blessing and their families, together with members throughout the world, who united in offering jeongseong for the health and well-being of Holy Mother Han, True Mother.

The previous day, September 22, True Mother shared the following message:

“Do not worry about me. Do not pray for me. Instead, pray and offer jeongseong for yourselves, for your families, for our Unification family, and for the fulfillment of Heavenly Parent’s Will. I love all of you blessed families.”

Victory of the 144,000 Great Revival

On February 20, 2026, the opening day of the 2026 Hyojeong CheonBo Special Great Works Commemorating the Births of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and Cheon Il Guk Year 14 (hereafter, the 2026 Winter Great Works), the 1,505th Vigil Devotion united members throughout the world in offering jeongseong for the health and well-being of Holy Mother Han, True Mother. On that day, participants celebrated the joyful news that the Great Works registration goal of 144,000 had been achieved. United in tears and gratitude, they praised Heavenly Parent, who continues to work through true love for all humankind, and the victorious True Parents. It became a revival that far surpassed the symbolic number of 144,000, filled with the profound love and longing of all heaven and earth for Holy Mother Han. Rev. Lee emphasized that, even amid trials, members around the world were becoming ever more united with True Mother, centering on the True Family’s Four-Position Foundation and the Inheritors of Heaven’s Love and Blessing, and moving forward with confidence. He declared that our earnest prayers, together with the revival brought by the work of the Holy Spirit, would surely lead to victory.

Then, on March 17, during the 1,522nd Vigil Devotion, Chairwoman Yeon-ah Moon shared True Mother’s message encouraging the members of Heavenly Japan.

“Dear members of Japan, be strong!

Heaven is surely alive and continues to work even now. If you look with the eyes of faith, Heaven is never silent. Throughout the 6,000-year providence and the 6,000-year history of humankind, Heaven has continually guided history, and even at this very moment is working to fulfill Heavenly Parent’s love and Will for all of God’s beloved children. Heavenly Parent, who has patiently waited throughout these 6,000 years of human history, is always with us. In the end, Heavenly Parent’s dream will surely be fulfilled.

Therefore, no matter what circumstances we may face, we must never lose heart but continue forward in faith in Heavenly Parent. Heavenly Parent always knows our prayers and our jeongseong and is fully aware of every tear we shed and every hardship we endure.

When we reflect upon our providential history, we can see that Heavenly Parent has always begun a new providence from the very place of suffering. From a human perspective, those situations appear to be difficulties, but through the eyes of faith we can recognize that they are the places where Heaven’s Will is being prepared and a new path is opened. When we consider the heart of Heavenly Parent, who has patiently waited throughout these 6,000 years of human history, we come to believe that even the difficulties we are experiencing today are part of the process through which Heaven’s Will is ultimately fulfilled. Dear members of Japan, never lose your center. Heavenly Parent’s dream will surely be realized.” (Message to the Members of Heavenly Japan, 6 Mar 2026)

On May 1, 2026, the opening day of the Hyojeong CheonBo Special Great Works Commemorating the 66th Anniversary of the Holy Wedding of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and the First Anniversary of the Entrance into the Cheon Won Gung Cheonil Sanctum, approximately 150,000 members from around the world participated in the 1,555th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion, advancing with earnest hearts for Holy Mother Han and establishing a foundation for offering “visible devotion.”

Then, on July 3, the fruit of that foundation was realized at the 1,600th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion. A total of approximately 66,000 participants—including members of True Family, leaders of providential organizations, clergy of the Korean Clergy Leadership Conference (KCLC), some 600 participants in the Heavenly Japan 3-Day Cheonshim Resonance Prayer Workshop, and members joining online from more than 44 regions around the world—came together as one spiritual community. Before the vigil devotion began, members gathered in a circle in front of Cheonshim Won, joined hands, and offered prayers for Holy Mother Han, laying a special foundation of devotion for this 1,600th vigil.

In his message that day, President Gi-seong Lee explained that the 1,600th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion represented the number 1,600, in which the absolute number 40—symbolizing the separation of Satan and a new beginning—had been multiplied by itself 40 times. He declared that it was a substantial victory brought about through unceasing devotion, as the spiritual and physical worlds united in resonance. He further emphasized that, as both the spiritual and physical worlds attended and supported True Mother’s providential course, a spiritual highway had been opened, broadening the foundation for the settlement of Cheon Il Guk.

Because Holy Mother Han understands Heavenly Parent’s hope and dream more deeply than anyone else, she has walked a difficult path in silence and perseverance, enduring misunderstanding and the storms of this world in order to save humankind. The 1,600th Cheonshim Won Special Vigil Devotion became a living demonstration of True Mother’s words that “a single drop of water becomes a stream, the stream becomes a river, and eventually flows into the sea,” as members throughout the world joined together with the subject partner spiritual world in offering their devotion.

Upon this foundation of united resonance, achieved through the oneness of the subject partner spiritual world and the object partner physical world, the flame of devotion kindled at Cheonshim Won will become a spiritual shield protecting Holy Mother Han’s providential course and will hasten even further the settlement of Cheon Il Guk.
