Ancestor liberation and ancestor blessing is the process of “liberating” ancestors and giving them the “blessing,” just like blessed families on earth.



Father said the following:

● After the fall of Adam and Eve, all human beings came to belong to Satan’s lineage. Ancestor liberation is the ceremony through which we can completely change the lineage of all human beings back into God’s lineage, as completely ideal sons and daughters between heaven and earth, in the name of the True Parents. (January 1, 1991)

● Because the spirits world’s air is made out of love, if you do not prepare your spirit body and go to heaven then you cannot breath. We can breathe air on earth but in the spirit world it is a world of love. That is why you should prepare your spirit body to feel love. If you do not do this then no relationships can be established in the spirit world. This is the problem. It will be bigger. It will take millions of years. (Cheon Seong Gyeong Page.761)

● Most of your ancestors have actually gone to hell. You must liberate all of them. This is the path of the parents, there fore, you must also follow the path of parents. You have the destiny to go to the end. (Cheon Seong Gyeong P.739)



Mother said the following:

● “So as we are celebrating the 1000 day memorial of True Father, I really hope that all of you will be able to liberate your ancestors in the spirit world.
We need to liberate up to 420 generations of our ancestors.
The spirit world has, until this point, followed the fall. It has taken 6000 biblical years to get to this moment. What a long period of time. The spirit world is filled with fallen history. The fallen people do not know God’s providence, but thanks to the True Parents we have received the Marriage Blessing and as Blessed Families, are you aware of the providence, or are you ignorant of the providence? If you are aware of it, my hope then, is that all of you can liberate all your ancestors and lead them to the Marriage Blessing, and I hope you can accomplish this mission of making your ancestors absolute good spirits.
This is the responsibility that you have been blessed with as Blessed Families. Do you understand? That is why we need to expand the good spiritual heavenly sphere, and we do this by increasing the people who are on the side of God, the people who are living centered on True Parents.

When liberating and blessing ancestors, not only are the ancestors being liberated and blessed, but at the same time, bad connections and influences that we have inherited from those ancestors are being cut off. The descendants are the result of everything that has been passed down through the lineages, both good and bad.
The bad things have been inherited include, Original Sin, Hereditary Sin, Collective Sin, Individual Sin and Fallen Nature. These inherited sins which cause lewdness, infertility, alcohol, smoking and drug addictions, mental disorders, many diseases, as well as fallen natures like jealousy and rage. Through ancestor liberation it is possible to come closer to perfection and cut all the bad connections that we have inherited from our ancestors, and assist the removal of the inherited bad connections.

Who are we liberating?



When we say “lineage” in the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, it means the ancestry connected by the fathers( the male side) , not the mothers. Every person can liberate 4 lineages. The 4 lineages are:
The Father’s lineage, Mother’s lineage, Grandmother on Father’s side (GMF) lineage and Grandmother on Mother’s side (GMM) lineage.

Father’s lineage = parents, father’s parents, father’s father’s parents, father’s father’s father’s parents, and so on and so forth.

Mother’s lineage = mother’s parents, mother’s father’s parents, mother’s father’s father’s parents and so on and so forth. This is the same as the Father’s lineage of your mother.

GMF lineage = Father’s lineage of the grandmother on father’s side

GMM lineage = Father’s lineage of the grandmother on mother’s side

Ancestor liberation is always done by 7 generations (Ex. 1-7, 8-14, 15-21, etc.) and ancestor liberation is always done by couples, because each person is always born from one man and one woman.

Ancestor liberation is liberation of the biological lineage, not the adoptive lineage. This means that even if you were raised by your adoptive parents, when you apply for liberation, you will be liberating your biological lineage. The only exception is when a 2nd generation is offered as offering child. True Father said that in the case of an offering child, the lineage is engrafted into the lineage of the adoptive parents.

Who can do ancestor liberation and blessing?

It is only possible to apply for ancestor liberation and blessing only if

1- They are a blessed family member or have received holy wine and benediction from a pastor.

They do not have to be an official blessed couple, but they have to have had holy wine and benediction from a pastor (ex. Foundation Day Holy Wine, etc.) Please follow the direction of your local church regarding what the conditions are to receive holy wine and benediction.

2- They have to be at least 18 years old.

If after receiving the blessing (or holy wine and benediction), a spouse becomes negative to the church and CheonBo Providence or has passed away, the spouse that is left can apply for the ancestor liberation and blessing of the spouse who is not active.

Conditions for Liberation

To apply for ancestor liberation, conditions need to be offered. This is because even though Heaven wants to give you the blessings unconditionally, if you don’t have the conditions, Satan accuses you saying you are not qualified to receive the blessings.

There are 2 conditions.

1. 21 days of sincere devotion of 50 full bows. Please offer this condition every time you will apply, regardless of the number of generations you are liberating. If it is not possible to do bows, then it is possible to do breakfast fasting. If you cannot do either because of health reasons, there is no other official substitution, but please do as much as you can offer. It is also possible for family members to help. This condition should be completed before your apply for the liberation, but if you could not do it beforehand, please offer them even if it is after the liberation.

2. Liberation donation. The liberation donation is based on the country that you are presently living in, not the country of your nationality. If you would like to know your donation standard, please click here.

Conditions for Blessing

Blessing donation. Just like the liberation donation, the blessing donation is also based on the country that you are presently living in, not the country of your nationality. If you would like to know your donation standard, please click here.
There is no specified condition of full bows or breakfast fasting, but it is recommended to offer some kind of condition during the 100 days they are attending the workshop in spirit world.

If you will attend the ancestor blessing ceremony, please prepare a holy robe and blessing ring. If you do not have this, it is possible to attend with white clothes (dress shirt, dress, etc.) but the ancestors will be sad they do not have the proper attire. It will be like not having a wedding dress on their wedding.

The process of ancestor liberation and blessing



The process is of ancestor liberation and blessing is as follows:

1. The descendants do conditions for liberation

2. The descendants apply for ancestor liberation

3. The staff of the CheonBo Training Center registers the liberation application forms, and the forms are offered to spirit world

4. The night before the ceremony, the ancestors are found by the absolute good spirits and angels according to the forms that were submitted.

5. The ancestors are liberated during the ancestor liberation ceremony.

6. The ancestors attend 100 day workshop (here they cleanse all sins except the original sin).

7. The descendants apply for ancestor blessing after 101 days.

8. The staff of the CheonBo Training Center registers the blessing application forms, and the forms are offered to spirit world.

9. The ancestors participate in the blessing ceremony according to the forms turned in. Original sin is removed.

11. The ancestors attend 40-day blessed family workshop in the spirit world.

12. The ancestors come to their descendants’ home on the 40th day.

13. The descendants prepare a welcome home celebration.

14. The ancestors and the descendants live together centered on God. The ancestors help and protect the descendants, but the descendants’ duty is to report their problems to the ancestors.

Ancestor Liberation Ceremonies are held in the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center every weekend during the 2-day workshops. Ancestor Blessing Ceremonies are held once a month during the 3rd 2-day workshop of the month, except for the months which have the Special Great Works, when the blessing ceremony will be held during the Special Great Works. (Please check the yearly schedule for the detailed dates of the Ancestor Blessing Ceremonies.) It is possible to apply for liberation and blessing on the first day of these 2-day workshops, at the basement 2nd floor of the Heavenly Palace.

Ideally each member should come to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center and attend these 2-day weekend workshops to apply for ancestor liberation and ancestor blessing, but there are many members from around the world that cannot come to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center for many reasons. In the case that you cannot come to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center, it is possible to apply from your countries with the following steps.

2. Figure out what you would like to apply for and how much donation you need to send. Please see the How to calculate liberation and blessing donation and registration fee

3. Prepare the registration forms.

5. Send the registration form and donation to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center.

There are 3 ways to send the registration forms and donation

A) Ask a member coming to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center
Put the forms and the donation together in an envelope and ask the member coming to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center to turn it in at the registration window. Please write your e-mail on the registration form so we can send confirmation that we received it. Please do not staple or tape the forms and donation. the forms and donation.

B) Air mail
Put the forms and the donation together in an envelope, and mail it to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center. It usually takes 1-2 weeks for regular mail to arrive, and 1 week if it is EMS. During holidays and when there is bad weather, it can take up to 3 weeks. You do not need to send us an e-mail unless 2 weeks have passed after posting the mail and you have not received any confirmation from us. Please do not staple or tape the forms and donation.

Wire the donation, and then send us the registration forms by e-mail. Please do not send them by air mail. If you cannot send the forms by e-mail, just send us an e-mail with the information of what generations you want to apply for and we will fill out the forms for you here. 6. Receive an e-mail confirmation that the registration form and donation was confirmed.

If you do not receive an e-mail from the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center confirming your application, it means your application or donation has not reached us. Please know that if you send it by air mail, it can take up to 3 weeks for it to reach us, and if you send it by bank transfer, it can take 3-7 days for it to reach us, and we can only check the bank information every Friday.

A liberation donation is offered for every 7 generations for each lineage. The following is an example for group 1:



How to calculate blessing donation

Unlike the liberation donation, the blessing donation is not for each lineage. If you bless several lineages at the same time, you only need to offer one blessing donation per 7 generations. The following is an example for group 1:



How to calculate registration fee

Even if you cannot participate in the CheonBo 2-day workshop to apply for liberation and blessing, the registration fee needs to be offered as a condition that you participated.

1. Registration fee for liberation: $25 for every 7 generations of Father’s side and Mother’s side and $25 for every 7 generations of GMF and GMM

2.Registration fee for blessing: $25 regardless of the number of generations you will bless until 210G. From 211G, $25 workshop fee is required for EACH set of 7 generations. (If you are applying for liberation and blessing at the same workshop, you do not need to pay blessing registration fee. The liberation registration fee covers the blessing as well.)

Hold a welcoming ceremony on the 41st day after the ancestor blessing ceremony. The day of the blessing is day one. If for any reason you cannot do it on this day, you can select any date after this, but please know they are already with you from this day. Invite your entire family if possible.

1. Prepare a banner.

2. Prepare offering table

3. Do pledge (like Ahn Shi Il)
Opening declaration, holy song, full bow, family pledge, representative prayer, HDH, welcoming words, holy song, closing declaration

4. Introduce yourselves and your relatives to your ancestors, even those who are not in the church. The ancestors will help bring them back to God.

5. Report all your problems and ask for their help.

6. Remember them in your prayers and daily life.

Collateral liberation

Collateral liberation is the liberation of any spirit that is not in your Father’s side, Mother’s side, GMF and GMM lineages.

- relatives (siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.)
- blessed family members and 2,3 generation
- people you know (friends, famous people, etc.)
- spirits (inside people causing problems, on land, etc.)

To apply for a collateral liberation of a person you know, we need the following information:

• Nationality – If you are not sure of the nationality and they lived in several countries, choose the country they were in the longest or until the end. If you are still not sure, choose the higher standard.

• If they were married or single – “single” refers to people who did not marry in their lifetime. If they divorced or had children, they are considered “married”

• Age when they passed away – if you do not know, you can leave it blank

• Full name

• Relationship to the person who is applying – ex. Aunt, uncle, famous poet, politician, etc.

To apply for the liberation of a spirit

• Write “evil spirit inside xxx” or “spirit causing xxx” – Make sure you write the word “spirit” or we will not know if it is a spirit or the actual person who passed away that you wish to liberate.

• Write the address if it is a spirit in a piece of land

The donation standard is based on the spirit, not the person applying for the liberation. Even if you are living in the Philippines, if the collateral you want to liberate was an American(group1), you need to offer the group 1 donation ($120)



The donation is per couple if they are married, per person if they were single.

Blessing of collaterals

1- If the collateral was married and both spouses are in spirit world and liberated, the blessing is done automatically when the person who liberated them applies for their own ancestor blessing, 100 days after the liberation of the collaterals. There is no need to apply for the blessing of the collateral spirit separately.

2- If the collateral was married but one spouse is still on earth, the person on earth needs to be witnessed to and needs to want to receive the blessing also. You need to apply for Spirit World Physical and World Blessing. If the person on earth cannot be witnessed to, you need to wait until they are both in spirit world and liberate them.

3- If the collateral was single, it is only possible to apply for the blessing when there is a special blessing called “Blessing for Single Spirits.” This blessing will be held every year during the Summer Great Works.

4- If the collateral was already a blessed family member, they do not need to receive the blessing again, so after the 100 day workshop they automatically go to the 40 day workshop, and after a total of 140 days after the liberation, they will come back to the family.

After 210 generations, there is no need to apply for liberation. The descendants only need to apply for the blessing.

When you bless 203-210 generations, which is the last 7 generations of up to 210 generations, 211-217 generations is automatically liberated in the same workshop.

100 days after 211-217 are liberated (which is also the same as 100 days after you bless 203-210 generations) you can apply for the blessing of 211-217.

When you bless 211-217 generations, 218-224 generations will be automatically liberated in the same workshop, and this process can be repeated every 100 days (about 4 months)

The liberation is only possible if the person is in spirit world, so if your parents and grandparents were alive when you applied for the liberation and blessing of Father’s side 1-7 generations, they were not liberated and blessed. Even though you applied for 1-7 generations, only 2-7 or 3-7 generations were liberated and blessed. So when your parents and grandparents actually pass away, you need to register for their liberation under the section “Persons who pass away after liberation”



This is where you report the passing of your parents (generation 1), and your grandparents (generation 2) who are included in 1-7 generations that were still alive when you applied for the liberation of 1-7 generations.

To apply you need $25 registration fee, and a donation of gratitude of any amount.

This needs to be applied for by a direct descendant. This means only the children or grandchildren can apply. If you apply for the liberation of your spouse’s parents or grandparents, it becomes a collateral liberation.
This is the same for spouses of collateral liberations who were still alive when the spouse was liberated. Even though collateral liberation is by couples, if one of them is still alive, that person cannot be liberated until they pass away. If the aunt passed away but the uncle was still alive when the liberation was done, the uncle can only be liberated when it is reported to the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center through this “persons who passed away” registration, and the person that applied for the aunt needs to apply for the uncle as well. It should not be applied for by another person who did not do the first liberation.

Liberation is ONLY for people who are in spirit world. It is impossible to liberate people who are alive. Self liberation reservation is the “reservation” of your own liberation when you pass away, which could be soon or in tens of years from now



When you apply for self liberation reservation, nothing will happen immediately

The liberation will happen when you die, and as soon as this happens, your absolute good ancestors will take you to Heung Jin Nim’s 100 day workshop in spirit world, even if no one applies for your liberation through the HJ Heaven and Earth CheonBo Training Center.

The conditions to apply for this special grace are as follows

1. You must have completed the blessing of at least Father’s side and Mother’s side 140 generations.

2. Donation is per person (collateral donation amount), not per couple

3. It is only possible for blessed families and their parents and children. It is not possible for the siblings or other relatives of blessed members. The siblings or relatives can apply if they are members themselves.

Liberation is possible only if the baby was born and took its first breath. If you have had a miscarriage, an abortion, or if the baby was born but did not breathe (still birth) the baby cannot be liberated. In this case, it is possible to erase the trace of that miscarriage, abortion, or still birth.



To apply you need $25 registration fee, and a donation of gratitude of any amount. Write the number of times there was a miscarriage abortion, or still birth.

Liberation

When 2,3 generation pass away they also need liberation, because although they were born without original sin, they were not able to perfect themselves in their lifetime to get rid of hereditary sin, collective sin, individual sin, and all fallen nature. To become an absolute good spirit, 2,3 generation also need to go through the 100 day workshop in spirit world to cleanse the spiritual body completely.

The liberation process is the same as applying for a collateral liberation, and the father or the mother of the child should apply. Apart from the information needed to liberate a collateral (nationality, if they were married or single, the age when they passed away, and full name) it is also necessary to know the birthday and the day of passing.

If the child is under 16 years of age, the parents should also inherit a special candle with which they need to pray with every day for at least 2 years, in the morning and evening, to help them grow. This is sincere devotion like a mother breastfeeding her baby. This special candle can only be inherited during Cheongpyeong 2-day workshops and during Cheongpyeong tours abroad. If one of the parents cannot come in person, it is possible for a representative to receive it on their behalf, but it is strongly recommended that the father or the mother receives it is person, as the child will be with the person who receives the candle until midnight of that day.

The 2,3 generation will be taken care of and educated in the spirit world by the blessed wives that have gone to spirit world in the past.

After the liberation, the child will come to the family on their birthday, the day they passed away, and on national holidays such as New Years and Christmas, and for example in Korea, Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving).

Blessing

True Parents have opened the way of the blessing for 2,3 generation who went to spirit world without receiving the blessing.

When the 2,3 generation in spirit world have grown enough to receive the blessing; that is when:

1. they are over 16 years of age from their birthday AND
2. more than 2 years have passed after the liberation

they can be matched and blessed with other 2,3 generation who went to the spirit world as well. The next matching and blessing for 2,3 generation in spirit world is planned in the year 2020. Please keep a look out for an official memo regarding this case.
